I sense how it works.
An effective way of hiding the complexity of an artifact is to greatly accentuate one of its characteristics so that the observer's attention is focused on that one only, overlooking the others. In this built-in hood we have made the entire visible part of the object become one big on/off switch. All the technological complexity introduces itself with an extremely minimal interface whose operation is of immediate intuition.

The minimum interface.
When you press the large switch, bringing it to an inclined position, the hood is activated and starts to suck up the steam through the perimeter gap, and the buttons of a second optional interface become visible and accessible. Using these buttons, you can adjust the suction power level, turn on the light panel and activate its anti-condensation heating system.
Abracadabra.
In the built-in Switch hood, the suction chimney is placed at the bottom of the wall unit, and is hidden by the finishing surfaces in accordance with the kitchen finishes. The motor is not located straight on it, but we moved it in the highest and less easily reachable part of the kitchen wall unit. This is made possible by an almost flat tube connecting the suction chimney and the motor. In this way, a free and accessible compartment is obtained right above the hood. The user has the feeling that the mechanical and hydraulic components are invisible.
