In the Vitruvio collection of three unique pieces shape is a graphic representation of function, a sort of exemplary expression of the mechanical forces at play in the stability of objects. Logic becomes an aesthetic motif and the only decoration is the pure material offered to the pleasure of the eye. The mahogany pieces Giordano Viganò had saved for decades are the result of the action of chance on a tree. By deciding to eliminate any sort of ornamental artifice, we wanted to draw the attention to the wonder of the material and highlight the patient and magnificent work of nature.

Living in a material world.
The supporting structure of the Vitruvio tables expresses a stable solidity. It is like the frame of an artwork, the mahogany pommelé table top, a natural masterpiece of elusive perceptive mobility. The table top presents itself in a phantasmagoria of everchanging shades, reflections of golden waves, of sand blown by the wind.
The Vitruvio coffee tables are crafted with exotic, rare woods. The structure, with visible finger joints, is made of solid ebony, the top is covered with mahogany pommelé veneers.

The logical thread.
The structure of the Vitruvio bench is made of solid mahogany. The visible finger joints are naturally highlighted by the darker shades of the mahogany wood in its longitudinal section. The Vitruvio hand-woven paper rope bench draws on archetypes of remote eras, bringing together manufacturing traditions and aesthetic languages of disparate origins with the aim of maximum functional clarity.
