With the Meanwhile seats we introduce a casual and informal way of sitting into airport spaces, more natural postures than those of tandem seating systems, which are based on the repetition on an industrial scale of a more or less rigid seat. By placing the person at the center, observing human bodies in movement and relaxation, we felt the need to soften the geometries, smooth out the orthogonal rigor of the rectangles until they become ovaloids, and introduce asymmetries. Meanwhile has friendly shapes that invite you to indulge in the pleasure of waiting.

Flying softness.
Meanwhile is a system of soft seats for airports whose volumes are suspended from the ground by two steel slides. The evident softness of the seat, highlighted by a generous thickness, comparable to that of a sofa, is however apparently light and levitating. The suspension from the ground allows to reduce the perception of a bulky spatial limit - due to the effect of the light that passes under the object -, to make the bags and objects that travellers carry with them visible from a distance, and to easily clean the airport floors.
Magic box.
The backrest is the container for all the accessory functions of Meanwhile. All the electronic components can be inspected and maintained by acting comfortably from above, after removing the support surface that acts as a cover. On the latter you can find two hubs with electrical sockets and two wireless charging points. The backrest-box also contains the sockets that emerge from the armrests in an extremely visible and accessible position.
The optional armrests can be equipped with tables and cup holders, and every item in the seating system comes with built-in power for device charging.
