Lamorisse Wood

It’s a kind of magic.
French director Albert Lamorisse loved flying and flying objects. Aerostatic balloons, which recur in his works, are something extremely slow and fairytale-like. What is most surprising about them is their large colored volume which contrasts with their small mass. In a similar way the soft cushions of the Lamorisse Wood collection seem to be hanging in the air, evoking lightness and magic.

Wood you like to seat?
The Lamorisse Wood consists of an ash wood structure and soft cushions, which conceal a metal frame with elastic straps. This armchair brings the outdoor aluminum Lamorisse’s concept indoors. The change of setting led to a change of material and a slight change in geometries. The wooden legs have variable sections: they’re wider near the mechanical joints, and narrower at the ends of the legs. The soft upholstered seat, apparently suspended, contains an internal metal frame mechanically connected to the legs.
In the Lamorisse Wood chair the seat cushion is connected to the backrest cushion, and the latter is tied to the structure by a strap which prevents it from moving forward accidentally. Optional side cushions make the embrace even softer.
Lounge and Sofa's big, jenerous back cushions partially expand on the armrests allowing freedom of movement and casualness, while hands can enjoy the warm feel of smooth ash wood.
I spy with my little eye.
The first thing you notice when you look at a Lamorisse Wood chair is its soft part. It appears as an independent touch of color, which stands out against the frame, highlighting the comfort of the soft padding. When there are two or more chairs in a space, their frames create a visual pattern, a succession of lines designed with a uniform stroke.
